Congratulations again Luo Da and Xiao Jing!!! We had such a good time shooting your beautiful wedding.

As Da and Jing laying their wedding plan to us, we were so excited to find out the venue were so special, it was a wedding on a big yacht – Star Gazer from Star Fleet, Kemah, TX. Being wedding photographers, beautiful venues, special arrangements, new ideas of ceremony means not only beautiful photos but also nice and unique experience. But new things always come along new challenges.

Limited shooting time windows, limited shooting space, complicate lightings, potential wavy and windy weather, untraditional venue settings, and tight cruise schedule, you name it. Shooting a wedding were not just clicking shutters or doing nice portraits, but needs to bring more into consideration.

Way before the wedding, we have already worked very closely with our couple to plan the wedding and so plan the shooting session (not just the traditional consultation but we provided many ideas, concerns and suggestions in their planning sessions), we have done research on the venue, the ship and all potential shooting locations, and have known the light conditions. But even more, we arrived the star fleet almost 2 hours ahead of the wedding, communicated with venue coordinator, captain, staffs, DJ and videographer, scout locations to planed our scenes even before the bride show-up.

As a team, Frank and I worked seamlessly, we think, we plan, and most important we communicate effectively to bring all the elements together.
